Kicking self hard.

How the %&$# did I miss ECP. I read their annual report every year, get Twister's thoughts and somehow still miss it.

The news on the Thomson divestiture was huge. 12-13x EBITDA shows the private market values newspapers very differently than the public market. My money's still on JRC.

Twister, regarding SSP as a bargain. May I correctly assume your conclusion is based on analyses of SSP that were similar in nature and extent to that which you summarized and shared with this thread on WPO?

benditlikebuffett: Just a note to say thanks long back with SSP. I've recently started now to reduce my small position.

Nothing really wrong now with the company or stock, afaik. Just that the stock had dropped from highs and stalled out for a while. I've lost some patience, and I'm a little antsy now. I've really never been able to come up with a sum-of-parts valuation for the company. The stock isn't really that cheap based on some financial measures I use (They may be the wrong measures by which to evaluate a conglomerate like SSP though), and there's been some recent insider selling. So I figure it might be an okay time for me too to sell some shares.
