Gee, still designing an opto-powered consumer network ?? Sure, 10 mj/20ns 1550nm lasers are available. You would like to have a few pulses a second. The assumption I made was that data and power were one-in-the-same, and that multiple end-users on the same loop would be served. I assumed there would be 1000. You missed your calling--the solar folks would love to see your 40% efficient photovoltaics. I think the record is 32% at NREL--in the visible; usual production variety is around 20%.
