That sounds beautiful. I had a friend who worked as a nurse in Alaska (I can't remember the town, it was VERY far north) and she told me the aurora viewed from where she based was simply INCREDIBLE.

Reminds me of the time my dad and I were coming home from a fishing trip. My dad mentioned the cloud pattern and asked if I remembered the song Buttermilk Sky. I answered yes and he said you're looking at one. Kinda miss the old dude.
