I would buy the camera from someone local to you, like Circuit City, where you can return it; and purchase the service warranty. Then use the hell out of it.

Just take a look at what these suckers can do, all on a floppy.

>>Ammo and I are cracking up at Roofus. That is adorable. He looks like he has a little happy face on!<<

I know!

He really looks happy or goofy or something.

Actually, that pic was taken with an inexpensive film camera by Dash's boy; and I borrowed it to digitize, clean, and frame, for him. (Wedding present.)

(And for Show And Tell, of course.)

>>Didn't you say that you had a Sony digital cam? The pictures have been so clear and wonderful.<<

My girlfriend has one for school-teaching, and it came home to be learned how to be used. No one has extra time to learn how to use the thing; and they want to use it to the max; because it works. The fact each student can have their own floppy is a HUGE plus. (This also helps with organizing your own pictures. I'm using differently colored floppy labels to shoot different stuff.)

This stuff is all uploadable to the net, and even a one minute MOVIE, is digitally net-loadable.

I'm going to buy one as soon as I figure out which, exactly. Maybe the 83.

>>I really want to get Dan one. Does it work as well for far off?<<

Yes.

But read some of the opinions in my previous message about the Sony's.

I think you SHOULD get one, ASAP, because your kids can use the hell out of it, and so can you, yes even you Muffy, and Dan will benefit and you'll have a lot more pictures around for later. You know; posterity. Plus guys like Ammo can use them a million ways, and build all sorts of sites and portfolios and projects with them. This is educational and professional Plus. JOB-related.

INDISPENSABLE MODERN TOOL.

OKAY?

GET ONE.

OR I WILL GET MAD.

OKAY?

YOU LISTNIN?

YOUR KIDS NEED THIS SHIT.

R E A L L Y.

And you and the Dude will too.

Trust me.

Gaugie knows Stuff.
And FUN.
And Practical.
And NEEDED.

TOOLS, basically. He's a TOOL guy.
Humans learn to use tools, ya know?
Well, get on the stick.

>>Can you find me one on line?<<

See previous post.
But imho, I would buy locally, from a chain.
(Warranty or service agrmt, and convenience.)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Yah. Make it a Father's Day present. I think it would be a FANTASTIC and useful one.
You'll wind up with hundreds of its picture-spawn to give for presents.
All of this can be stored, thousands of them, on your hard drive. Or PERMANENTLY, on the Net.
