You have an office full of device physicists rolling on the floor right now. Go to your local library and pick up the book.

I hope that I have corrected the misconceptions you have seeded on the thread. I have established that power conversion can be done, at reasonable efficiency, over a number of low loss windows in fiber. Therefore, providing sufficient input power is injected into an optical fiber, it should be possible to power lifeline communication systems via a fiber optic delivery system.

Whether someone is doing this is another question altogether.
