Hello CrazyMan, and thanks for the info.

I had hopped to wait until the Duron was available to get a new system, but my son will kill me if I wait any longer. This was "his" gameing system and he can't wait any longer!!

I am not upgrading the system myself. I don't know enough (I know some, but don't dare to) nor have the time to do it!

The boards I asked about (Epox and Asus) are the ones the shop I took my dead PC for a "heart transplant" uses. They thought that the ASUS K7M was better (didn't say why) and worth the extra $25 and thought that better yet was the K7V (another $10).
Looking at the ASUS home page, I see that the K7M uses the AMD750 chipset and the K7V uses the KX133 and either PC133 or PC100 SDRAM (that's the memory I have so no problem there).

Do you have a recommendation/better experience with either chipset?

I appreciate your (and the others too!!) input.
I enjoy the time (lots of it!) I spend reading through the 100's of very informative post that appear here daily, although some time there are toooo many to follow! and since I don't have any valuable news or insight, I prefer to just lurk rather than to add to the noise level (Please everybody, NO MORE Paul baiting, he added a LOT of noise!!!).

Thank you
Daniel B.
