Hi Mike,

Good Handicappers are lucky more often.

Always good to listen to Mom. 89 and going strong, she knows everything there is to know about everything, as does my darling spouse.

My children are humble though which of course is due to having me as their father!

Nice Ticket. Good and lucky not a bad combo

Regards,
QT

Mike,

Is your mother planning to write a book on handicapping? (g)

I thought it was a weak Belmont. The two best horses stayed home and arguable the 3rd best, The Deputy, has sort of dropped out it after his Derby debacle.

Aptitude was a little disappointing and so was Wheelaway.

Wheelaway looked loaded on the turn and came up empty. I suspect the distance hurt him.

Aptitude was too far out of it, but made a nice run.

I didn't like the winner going in and I still don't like him. I think I'll bet against him the next time he shows up in a major stake. These 1 1/2 mile races sometime produce outcomes that have little to do with the results for the rest of the year at 1 1/8 and 1 1/4.

I still think this is a very good crop in both the sprint and route division. Trippi was terrific and the sprinters on the west coast are awesome. (caller one etc...)
