Gene,

The companies that will make DDR chipsets are: Via, Ali, Sis, Micron, ServerWorks, AMD and Intel (most likely).

This compares to just 1 company making RDRAM chipsets (Intel).

OT Gene: When did you learn to read Chinese? Now we have 2 reports of DDR's ultimate victory ("VENCEREMOS!") coming out from behind the former Iron Curtain and 1 from the soon to be extended bamboo curtain (if the PRC has its way). "DDR from the (former) DDR." Nice jingle. Can't wait to try those chipsets. Are you sure you're not the long term plant from The Manchurian Candidate? Or, if you served in 'Nam instead of Korea, then you could star in a new flick: The Mekong Engineer. LOL.

I can't wait to see whether the "Tulloch" accommodates 3.2 or 6.4 RDRAM. It certainly won't be DDR, given INTC's aversion to VAPORWARE.

Talk to you in a few days. All in good fun,

BP
