History never repeats itself. As Schlomo Maital said, quoting Paul Valery, some 25 years ago, history is the science of what does not repeat itself. It is not predictable like physical laws or like patterns of human behavior.

But certain general situations do recur. Every so often human beings concur agreeing to do the same foolish thing simultaneously. So millions of people consider it the ultimate "wisdom" right now to hold stocks with P/Es so high that they will never repay the investment.

What's this "waiting for 70 years"? Are you hanging around with nobody but people who are nearly a hundred years old?
