FWIW, just received the new AG Edwards report. New price target is 95, lowered from 130, but still a buy/aggressive and remains their #1 software pick.

For Q2, 15% of revenue will be electronic licensing, which is booked only when installed on customer site. The boxes of software were booked as revenue when shipped. Fewer boxes were shipped because of demand for electronic licenses. The result is a shortfall. The analyst states emphatically that the channel backed up due to high demand for electronic licenses, which simply cannot be booked yet. 40% of the shortfall due to this transition booking change.
Are very encouraged by the demand for electronic license.
The analyst also states that 40% of the shortfall occurred because 10 projected large deals didn't close in the quarter. CTXS is trying to go deeper into large corporations and were too optimistic regarding the number of large deals that could be closed in the quarter. 10% of shortfall due to Asia (japan)deals not closing.

Have revised guidance for '00 to .70 down from .90 and '01 estimate of .93 down from 1.15. However, these estimates do not include revenue for products for Windows 2000, Metaframe for Unix, etc. Also being conservative.
