Re: "If you can not go to previous posts, much used web sites, and other previously referenced data, you are just too lazy. You do not like the data, so you ignore it. Any discussion is pointless with someone like you"

Mr Gerassi, you made specific claims regarding SPEC and different compilers. I asked you repeatedly for the data and you instead call me lazy for not providing your proof for you. Not a very convincing argument.

The one link you finally did give to supposedly provide neutral unbiased benchmarks running code compiled without special Intel optimizations contains this quote:

"The prefetching was enabled in this binary by using 3DNow! instructions. So it WILL NOT WORK on Intel chips".

I don't exactly call this code that is compiled without any optimizations for a specific processor. Furthermore I see no mention of the SPEC scores that you alluded to. Did I miss something or are you just unwilling to backup your claim?

Re: "You show me the benchmarks where a Cmine at 933 beats a Athlon at 1GHz"

Pete, you claimed AMD outperforms Intel processors running SPEC on other compilers and that was the claim I called you on. Perhaps they do but you haven't helped yourself by blaming me for the missing scores. AMD has chosen to stop reporting SPEC scores. I can't imagine why but they have. When they were reporting them, and getting killed I might add, they used Intel compilers, just like Compaq, Dell, Fujitsu and Siemens did.

I have searched the literature and for the life of me I can't find a law anywhere that says AMD is prohibited from writing their own compilers to best showoff their products. Nor does there appear to be a law prohibiting Intel from doing the same.

Re: "Anything that shows your wrong is considered pure "unadulterated hogwash" to your eyes and you so conveniently forget about it. I do not believe one should be led around "by the nose" and need 50 or 60 web page links to see the obvious. Intel continues to over promise and under perform. Wish it were otherwise, but there it is."

In other words you have no data, just a big mouth.
