that sounds like a plausible target to me. i'm busy studying 13th century inflation data. does anyone remember the great deflation of a.d.1285? prices fell over 30% in that year.

interestingly, a quick scan of several centuries of inflation data reveals that continuous price inflation is a late 20th century phenomenon. apparently the creation of central banks has ensured that money becomes worth less and less.

Time to short RMBS, IMO:

If it's another short-squeeze expiration prank, They could get that pig up to 300 by expiration. That would be a screaming sell-and-hold you'd want to keep and pass down to the kids in your will.

(It dropped from 470 to 130, halfway between that high and low is 300, people love those 50% retraces. You saw it here first!)
