jw,

congrats on the new speed and the successful BIOS Flash! Personally, I would have spent my money on a BP6 rather than a newer BH6. How do you like those MHz?!!

I read on ars or somewhere that the new Coppermine Celerons aren't SMP capable -- not sure of this, but it's something to check and think about. I may wait for SMP Athlons to get both the speed and duals.

Regards,
wily

Don't worry about the multiplier. It really is set by the chip, not the bios. I just bought a 566 that I got up to 850 without any trouble at all (I bought a pretested one). I'll turn turbo on next time I reboot and that will bump it up to 875..

I have a Bx6r2 for my main machine and have a linux box running on a BP6 with two C400's as well. Dual CPU's is good in some ways, but if you're not running an OS and programs that take advantage of it, you really don't gain anything. The BX chipset actually does very well (usually comes out on top) in benchmarks.
