That justice is merely our creation If we didn't create justice, who did? Or was it just hanging out somewhere waiting for us to discover it? I think there is a standard that we seek to conform to, and, in this country, the majority favors the death penalty... If justice is not our creation, why should we be concerned with what the majority thinks? Of course the majority, lacking the civilizing influence of the fine arts, will always prefer revenge, which is what capital punishment is. It feels good, and that is very compelling to the unrefined.
