Re : KREM competing with Dunkin' Donuts -- (by the way, I am not "engaging" you here just to be a wiseguy, even if it does appear otherwise).

The first thing my wife and I said to each other after tasting our first KREM donuts (a few weeks ago) (AND -- at an Amoco gas station "mini-mart," meaning that the donuts were at least 8 hours old) was ...

"I guess we will never again in our entire lives buy any donuts at Dunkin Donuts."

There was no comparison (in our minds); the KREM ones were much better.

So ... your comments about KREM vs. DUNK -- are you saying this because of different business strategy approaches that the two companies have ? (Or, market "entrenchment" ?)

Or what ?

Jon.

DD's was acquired by some British outfit, I believe, which also owns Baskin Robbins and Togo's sandwich shops, but I can't recall the name. They may ADRs but I don't know for sure. Unlike KREM, DD's have demonstrated a powerful ability to franchise. Look in proxy of KREM and you will see the company has struggled with franchising the KREM concept for quite awhile. I think the idea of selling KREM donuts thru both the KK store and grocery stores is a sure recipe for channel conflict. BTW, I have no position in KREM because I don't short stocks. Too bad the float is too small for option (put) listings though...
