Dear Rachel: Given the "news" we have heard over the past few weeks I dont see where the CEO of FON had any choice but to say the issue is in doubt. Personally, I think if its turned down then the US regulators are selling our own country down the road. I have never understood the problem, especially if WCOM and FON agree to dispose of FON's internet assets (which they have). JDN

Actually, I think the antitrust division knows it's lame duck time. Thus, they have their last chance to exert power and influence. It's all they get, since they're underpaid and undertalented--never held real jobs in their lives. So, they go out and trash American business--they couldn't care less--they have no assets, nothing to invest, and they resent anyone who does--the "rich". They love to see the rich get their comeuppance. So, trash the american economy and get famous--did any of you know who Joel Klein was before the MSFT case? Nope. And, now Boies has a national name in consumer circles--a notoriety he did not enjoy before. So, you have morons, idiots and zealots out to trash anything coming their way--this day, it's WCOM--the dog of the Nas.
