Joe,

> Now are these numbers pre-tax, or after tax? I think everybody expected 5% tax rate (at least I did)

Good question. When I entered my estimates, I didn't account for any taxes. I suspect many of the participants didn't take taxes into consideration either. How about making it pre-tax for this quarter? Any suggestions from other members of this thread? TIA

Since I'm posting this, I would like to say few words about this morning rumor about Dresden Athlon Quality problems stuff - I suspect we are seeing the beginning of fudsters moving into new arenas to spread FUD against AMD. The stakes are very high in this CPU business. Any progress made by AMD can be very costly to those relying on AMD's competitors. When I read that article this morning, the use of terms "Industry Insider" and "Quality" raised my suspicion. I bet EEtimes (right source?) must have edited out this stuff after failing to verify the credibility of the sources of that rumor. I also suspect these goons had Anand in reporting KT133 presumed problems. It's very easy to trap wannabe reporters that are eager to report any attention grabbing rumors before verifying the credibility of the sources. This thread members must pay more attention before making serious discussions on this kind of reports - especially when you see slippery terms and lack of decent discloser of the sources. Whenever these rumors appear, the right approach would be to contact AMD, like chic did.

Oops, I meant 0% tax rate.
