Well I tried to compare MU with IFX but the results
are not that conclusive:
MU IFX
Sales 2.977B$ 4.237B Euro
Depreciation 606M$ 573M Euro
Total Liab.+ Eq.7.700B$ 6.445B Euro

So it seems that MU's depreciation is lower then IFX's and
also IFX gets more revenue out of every $ invested (partly
because MU had more liquid assets in 1999 then IFX.
IMHO both look actually pretty bleak since they have to
invest 1.5$ for every $ in revenue, so even at a 20% margin
this yields only a RONA of 13.3% with the current boom.
Siemens has been traditionally very aggressively
depreciated and maybe this has been transferred to IFX too.
I have shorted IFX @80$ to hedge my portfolio a bit against
a sudden market drop but MU looks as bad as IFX - or should
I say as good as a short as IFX.

my *itch of the day... earlier this week i posted a link to american greetings where they offered to double the flooze purchased through the 16th or 18th of this month - up to a $50 benefit. flooz is online cash. well, i went to use the offer and it was gone. instead, it was a 50% bump in flooz up to a $15 benefit.

i asked why this occurred and they said they had, and i quote, "technical difficulties" with the first offer. i asked why 100% benefit up to $50 was more technical that a 50% benefit up to $15. what a bunch of TOTAL MORONS.

this is CLEARLY FALSE ADVERTISING. i'm avoiding them on gp - gen'l principle. sorry i referred folks there.

does anybody know where i can report this case of FALSE ADVERTISING?

Michael,
As a short term play, what about some calls on UCL in anticipation of a big earnings report in July? What do you think of Hess (AHC) compared to UCL?
Thanks,
/Kit
