John, thanks for posting that. Once again we a very bullish report on AMD. There are only couple of weeks left in this quarter and about 25 trading days till the next earnings announcement. Thing are looking good. Mani P.S. It was very nice meeting you today

According to this article a price war is not likely this year. This is due to the fact that AMD successfully penetrated the high end of the market with its Athlon processor, first introduced in June 1999. By competing with Intel on all fronts, the company eliminated the chip giant's flexibility. According to Michael Slater, the founder and editorial director of Microprocessor Report, "Intel can't afford that kind of aggressiveness with the Pentium III, because for every dollar they take out of AMD's pockets by dropping the price, they take $8 out of their own."
