We've been living with reformulated, $2.00 gasoline in CA for a year now. Filled my 'vette today with premium and it was cheaper by $0.05 a gallon than 30 days ago. We were as low as $1.75/gallon this year after being over $2.00 last summer.

Ask Janet to take a break on Billy and go look at the refineries that conveniently blow up so they can raise prices... (that is a big trick in CA last yr to get premium to $2.07 last summer in the Silicon Valley) Amazes me, DRAM prices go up and margins shrink at Dell. Crude Oil prices go up and gasoline companies make record profits. Hello? what am i missing here?

CA is what? 10% of the US economy? Seems we did just fine with $2 gas last yr. Just a tax.

I remember going to a presentation with a broker from Merril Lynch (was trying to get me to work for him rather than be an engineer) in the early 1980's. It was a limited partnership deal and they were predicting $47/bl oil. Well, salaries are up 3 or 4 x since then and we are worried about $32 oil? I guess since China didn't invade Taiwan some have to find other reasons to fear a major recession.

Me, I see good times ahead.
