DJ Silicon Investor Site Down; Co. Cites Database Upgrade

NEW YORK (Dow Jones)--Silicon Investor's popular financial Web site was not
functioning for a few hours Thursday morning, and a spokeswoman said management
was "confident" it wasn't due to anything external.
The site is currently up and running, spokeswoman Jill Munden told Dow Jones
Newswires.
Munden said the crash coincided with a routine database upgrade the company
was performing.
She stressed the company's belief that the stoppage was not the result of a
computer virus or hackers.

to sarkie---thanks for the post that $80.00 figure was a welcome site--can't wait to see it on the boards again! Yes, we have to think that russ et al. have the big picture: so for this long --as we cook in 108 degree weather here in california--i am learning the meaning of patience every day. In the meantime i use the gnet site morning ,noon, and nite to look things up for work and for fun--might as well be our own best customer--that goes for weekends too--if they count every visitor then i am defintely making my own impact---cheers to the future---angela
