Hi Pat,..Re:.GLW's focus seems clear and I think anyone would be blind not to recognize how serious they are in pursuing their goals.

Thanks for digging out all the data on GLW and their efforts to get more into the components business. Do you think they'll continue into systems or does it seem their focus is just on components?

Further, according to the TSC article you posted yesterday, GLW has already spend $7b over the past year pursuing these new businesses and I saw from the info today that they have approved a significant number of more shares, to 1.2b but I wonder still how they could swallow a $20+b (if we consider SDL plus PIRI without much premium) company?

Is there a breakoff point where we discuss this as a merger rather than an acquisition? I didn't go back and look up GLW's debt but Yahoo Finance has debt/equity as 0.44. However, I know a little creative financing can overcome many obstacles! <g> Just thought SDLI might be a little large to get readily snapped up. Wish I had more financial savvy! <g>
