Scott,

Try your printer on another computer. Try another printer on your computer.

Remove all your cards except your video card and try it like that.

Check in device manager that you only have one printer port. Uninstall your printer driver and reinstall it.

Scott ---

I had a similar difficulty several months ago and I had to consume several cups of coffee to revive the dormant brain cells which came alert long enough to solve the problem.....

this is what the semi-awakened gray matter "seemed" to recall that I did -----

after trying most all of what I read you've done and a few more that were fruitless, also .....
I downloaded a new driver for the printer from the HP website ......
and
it worked for me
so
good luck.

Now, I have an ongoing and perplexing and annoying problem with one of my boxes
and
I'll see if anyone here has an idea of how to fix it ....

PROBLEM ====
1 == switch on front of box malfunctions occasionally
2 == switch fails
3 == replace switch
4 == whoops .... not the switch or the replacement is bad
5 == replace the replacement
6 == nope, not the switch
7 == currently the method of starting the box IS

a == removed the switch and have the two wires sticking outside the case
b == touch the exposed ends of these two wires together
c == this must be done between 10-20 times to get the box to fire up
d == don't turn the box off much now ....... gggg

any ideas, anyone ?????
