I wouldn't feel bad if I'd done my own homework...either I missed something, or I didn't do a thorough or thoughful job of it.....

As to other folks making the kind of mistake you describe...at this point in the world... I'm sorry, I don't feel a thing for them. I work very hard at trying to on the right side of every penny I invest.... the person you described did nothing toward that end. They evoke no sympathy at all from me.

as to the rest of the crap.... hey I don't like dirty hands either....but I also don't have the power to clean up the dirty hands who do have the power....so as the smart money sometimes says at some of those meetings.....ride the wave dude...but get off before it crests.

many of the waves (indeed most) for the moment have certainly crested though we got some buggie boarders out there still who think they can ride a wave or two.... their waves don't make a wave trend for me.... at the moment.

This whole thing is an evolving beast-like jelly morphing all the time into new forms both macro and micro.... right now its not very identifiable...

I go with what's a fact of value...be it fundamental, technical...and irrational or rational....what the market says... a combination of all of these...often has kept me in the money and out of trouble. That's my job period. (not forgetting preserving capital, my most important job of all).

I could easily go down your road with you...and in principal I could easily agree with most of the things you say and would say... but my job doesn't allow me enough time to save the world or stop everything for some fool who didn't take responsibility for not even attempting to tell the difference between advice and the use of someone else's vested interest disguised as his own...

with respect

J

I Think That the Issues Which Outrage You, Are Outrageous

I share many of your beliefs concerning the "unfairness" of the system.

My personal feelings about deriving income from trading activities are similar to my feeling about eating meat. I don't like the idea of killing animals but the animals are always dead before I eat them.
