Edwarda is in critical condition. She is unconscious, and late this afternoon was still described as being "intubated." A few minutes ago, though, they described her as "on a breathing machine." If I had made the call I would have confirmed my impression that this is a respirator, no longer just intubation, but I got N to call so it wouldn't be the same voice bothering them every time. Earlier I spoke to a Doctor Lee, and he declined to give any diagnosis or prognosis. He would only say she is "very sick," and "in critical condition."

Edwarda believes in prayer, so I'll give it a try. If there's a God, he'll be so surprised to hear from me maybe he will take notice.

Edwarda was the very first woman here to offer me a kind word and unbiased ear. She has faithfully and strongly defended nearly all of us at one time or another, often while being beaten silly by the beneficiary. God bless her and keep her with us a long while. There is still much we can learn from her. XXXOOO, Mike

I am glad that this is now posted for all to know. I wondered if it should be, as so many people care about her here.
It is impossible to imagine, and if you all are feeling as I do, it's scared and sad and stunned. In my head we are all so alive that we almost have an air of immortality. This shouldn't happen.

Edwarda is one of the people I've alluded to before who are the main reason I'm still at this job after so long; one who loves this community as much as I do and also quickly recognizes when I'm upset even if I don't say it, and offers encouragement.

My voice is added to the unfamiliar ones God is hearing today.

Bob

Edwarda and I have shared many PMs. I am very saddened to hear this news. I wish her well and pray for a speedy recovery.
