I wouldn't be surprised to find out that a few of those indicted in the SEC microcrap sweep this week are politically well connected. Perhaps this is related to how someone gets accommodations in the finer U.S. institutions of penal confinement after conviction ;-) .

Political connections won't sign up millions of users for ZixMail; political connections won't unjam the VISA lawsuit that seems to be dragging out forever with no results.

They haven't even produced any government contracts yet. But connections don't decide routine government agency software procurement; that's a whole junkyard full of CIO's, agency budget chiefs and other boring bureaucrats.

At least some of Cook's connections got to flip the stock they bought cheap in the financing. Apart from that, just the sounds of silence....

The key is the revenues - if you understand it!
