DELL COMPUTER FORECASTS HUGE YEAR AHEAD

DELL COMPUTER (DELL, $46, up 1) boss Michael Dell confidently forecast a
record year for the company. "I expect it will be a very good year for
us. We expect, in dollar terms, to, by far and away, earn more revenue
this year than in any year in our history," Michael Dell, chairman, chief
executive and founder of the company, told CNBC television . "I have not
seen anything that would lead us to believe that our market is slowing.
In fact, second quarter growth for total industry has been the most robust
in the last seven years."

COMMENT: These are things a CEO is meant to say. What was unique was the
note that Q2 growth was the largest in seven years. Huge.
