Ausdauer, Maybe you missed this, but Sony's Mavica is now sporting a CD-R drive:

3-inch standard 156MB CD-R that can be read in any ol' plain CD-Rom drive:

Sony is sticking to mechanical drives in their Mavica. At $1299, it is expensive, but it has a monster load of features including that massive 10x zoom lens. I expect the whole Mavica line to be replaced by mini-CD-R within the next year or two.
