Paulie:

Re: "Did you ever buy any AMD stock - or are you still offsetting your Options gains with your options losses ?

Comment: Since Nov. 1/99, when I began to rejig my portfolio with AMD investments, my net AMD ROI (i.e gains minus losses on both shares and options)is approximately 1500%, and as at this moment, I own 12,500 AMD shares.I do plan on continuing with my options strategy to $120, at which point I'll evaluate the strategy of a less aggressive investment approach...
How are you making out since your expressed discomfort on Feb. 2, 2000 (only 4-1/2 months ago)with what seemed to you, I think you'd admit, a rather heady AMD price of $35-11/16's? Hope you didn't run for the bushes then or even worse, short AMD...Could've been a painful exprience to watch AMD climb at the rate of $8 to $10 per month, a rate that will probably accelerate over the remaining months of Y2000!

Paul - RE: "Intel has had a pretty miserably past 12 months due to their RAMBUS focus and related MTH screw-ups, including the Timna delay.

Tomorrow, Intel will start a major recovery from those disasters."

So Willamette won't be tied to DRDRAM when it first comes out?

Tomorrow, Intel will start a major recovery from those disasters.

Haa! Thus the return to the thread is motivated by high hopes for an Intel RECOVERY. The word "disasters" has a ring of truth to it...finally. Hard to spin good yarn without some painful admissions.
