Carl, I think that there is a reasonable chance that the patent courts will allow them blocking patents on the current JEDEC version of SDRAM. If this happens, RMBS would be quite a bargain at its current price. Assuming that this doesn't crash the entire industry! BTW: I'm disappointed that you blindsided me with this post, and did not discuss it with me on the Lear jet back from Taiwan. Scumbria (AKA BILOW2)

Carl, You were doing fine on your BILOW SEES LIGHT ON RMBS post until the following paragraph... On the other hand, it is strange that Rambus hasn't pushed the SDRAM coverage of its patents until this year. The reason for the delay, I believe, is that they really thought that RDRAM was going to win out. Now they are going to (try to) use their patents to suppress DDR. As has been pointed out on the board several times, Rambus couldn't try to enforce the patents until the patents were granted, and that didn't occur until late last year, if I remember correctly. So it was only several months after they were granted that the Hitachi lawsuit was filed, which in "legal time" is the blink of an eye. As for the rest of your post following this statement, talk about "conspiracy theories"! You should send this in to Hollywood and see if they'll make it into a Movie-Of-The-Week for you. Dave
