OT Trader, If Reagan does not spend an extra trillion or so on the military build-up in the 80's, where would we be today? We would still be in a cold war with Russia and likely still have closed markets all around the world imo. The only credit that Clinton should get is for being smart enough not to boot Greenspan.

Actually, most economists agree that we are in the continuing Reagan Boom, the Great Boom.

Remember, the short recession related to the Gulf War under Bush was over 13 months before Clinton-AlGore the Junior took office. Hence, the current leg of the Reagan Boom is unrelated to their one policy achievement, the largest tax increase in US history.

That's another reason they get no credit.
