Aus, OT - Transmeta v. Intel The benchmarks I've seen have Tranmeta performing about 25% below Intel at the same clock speeds, because of the software emulation. But everything is pretty unclear right now, you may be right that it performs well in some functions. There have been so many companies/chips that were going to de-throne Intel over the years, it's hard to take this one seriously. As Intel is my largest and longest holding, I'm glad I've stayed the course. John
