Deskpro EN: Manageability, Serviceability and Consistency

The new Compaq Deskpro EN series is designed for easy integration within the enterprise, offering outstanding manageability and serviceability, and today debuts a slimmer, more expandable chassis that remains stable over time. Responding to customer input, Compaq is now making a single software image and optional standardized drivers available for the entire Deskpro EN Series. A preinstalled version of Altiris express (1) an easy-to-use Intelligent Manageability software package -- is now available for simple point-and-click deployment and manageability of Deskpro products throughout the PC lifecycle. The Deskpro EN Series continues to provide consistent software images for up to a year on all models, allowing customers to save on IT costs as they deploy, qualify and test one software image when new models are added to the enterprise.

Compaq now also provides worldwide Certification and Testing Services (CTS) for its customers. This service allows customers to specify a PC configuration, including Compaq and third party hardware options, with their software image to ensure functionality and compatibility with their IT environment.
