Scumbria,

It could get pretty messy, sorting out how much protection money to pay to each IP company.

You don't care for the free enterprise system, I take it.

Regardless, business is definitely messy. I've never seen one that wasn't. So many decisions to make. This is just one more issue out of about 50,000 to deal with. You seem to think Rambus created this mess, but this is not new in any way, shape, or form. Everyone has to decide what products they want to make, and how much of each. If they have to pay too much in materials or royalty, they'll build something else. And the companies who own the natural resources have to decide how much to charge for their resources (not too much or your customers will find an alternative to you). Rambus set about to develop faster chip-to-chip communications ideas and has done it well and owns the rights to those ideas. Live with it.

Dave

Scumbria... >>It is a good beginning. The problem is that there are many companies with IP cases as strong or stronger than Rambus who could jump into this game.<<

OK Scumbria... I don't want the names of many companies I just want five (5) along with your links and proof of your claims! Thank you!
