This is when I miss Edwarda most. She would have stepped in here with a few trenchant comments, a laugh, and a unique message to both of you that would have defused this argument before it got out of hand.

Sadly, I don't know anybody else who can do it as well. So maybe in her memory, you would take her intervention for granted here?
