I was told by those who know her personally that Carly is not technical, and not business oriented (I'm told she had a background in education).

She is alleged to be a good "cheerleader," able to communicate well with investors and the media.

You can only go so far with those abilities however. LU's problems have nothing to do with Carly's departure, and everything to do with poor earnings performance.

Hopefully this past quarter, the one that ended June 15th, is everything that McGinn promised.

Clay,
Yes that is true. What can Mr. McGinn show to those fund managers and anal-ysts? Obviouly Carly has something that is more pleasing, entertaining and visible than LU's chief.
He just returned from his vacation and was hoping he will stay on vacation for another couple of weeks or so so that this POS can move a few points up.
