re: "I was told by those who know her personally that Carly is not technical, and not business oriented (I'm told she had a background in education).
She is alleged to be a good "cheerleader," able to communicate well with investors and the media."

Sounds like the same thing often heard about Chambers.

Georgeb,

I can believe "not technical", but "not business oriented?"

Here you have a person that was the head of a 20 billion dollar unit (in sales), the prize gem of LU and is now the supreme commander of a massive diverse company with a 116 billion market-cap. Did HP hire her because she looks good in a suit???

I would have to conclude that she must do something more than just cheerlead and communicate.

Clay

>LU's problems have nothing to do
>with Carly's departure, and everything
>to do with poor earnings performance.

do you mean things like this ?

i am actually very surprised. As a former ASND investor i would rather favor LU in the "internet-plumbing " space because it valuation makes much more sense (than C$CO)
