That may be. There is also fungus growing under the apple tree in my back yard. That is where a once edible apple now decays. The sweet and juicy apple can definitely be implicated. There are worms crawling on the branches. They definitely can be associated with the apples but again, they are not the apples.

Your loose association of negative outcomes associated with the fact that people believe in something is equally invalid.
