FWIW - I have one of the early G* phones and I use it daily - I live in a fine suburb 15 miles north of NYC -- cell carriers here are 1 - ATT -- service awful - 50% of the town is a dead spot - major highway, Hutchinson River Parkway, totally out - lose all calls 2 - Bell Atlantic - service somewhat better, but dead spots all over the place -- and I have 4 860s in cars and on self -- took my G* onto to the soccer fields where no one's phone worked - bingo - 4 bars - all calls perfect - zero drops - all we need is a smaller phone, less ominous antenna, and we will have a ten to twenty-bagger --
