Thanks Jim, I thought the high-end dimensions were considered workstations, it must be the 820 equivalent. I know the
Optiplex's are the consumer line.


The dimensions are the consumer/"small business" line. The Optiplex's are the "corporate" line. I'm typing this on a (old) dimension.

Lizzie,

The Optiplexes are for corporate customers. They are DELL's best selling product line of desktops.

DELL has never been big in the consumer market. However, they do now have offering in that area.
