BINGO!! THAT is EXACTLY why we should eliminate the Department of Education NOW!!!. If the Feds succeed in taking over, and they screw up, where in the Hell are you going to run?!?!?!

On a personal level I fled the city center for the suburbs when we had children in large because I was not satisfied with the schools and could not think up a better plan than to flee.

I suppose I am mainly objecting to the comparison of vouchers with the appeasement of Hitler at Munich. I figure that if your views are that strong on the matter, you could say why vouchers would be bad. Incidentally, my son is in public school, and I imagine that most people will stay with their schools, at least in the suburbs. But vouchers would introduce an element of competition, permit experimentation, and allow parents greater control over their child's education........
