Typical company's response. Volume(of stock) is speaking louder than company's words. Something is up!

--3:40 pm Valence jumps 26 percent
Valence Technology (VLNC: news, msgs) is adding 4, or 26.7 percent, to 19 on heavy volume of 1.85 million. Average daily volume is 520,900. Representatives of the Henderson, Nev., developer of advanced rechargeable lithium polymer battery technology weren't immediately available comment. The only analyst covering the company is CIBC World Markets' Dale Pfau, who said he knew of no fundamental reason for the heavy interest in the stock Thursday. Pfau has a "strong buy" rating on Valence with a 12-month price target of $50.

Have you ever called VLNC IR? If you did, you would find out Jim Crockett is not the key contact. Actually I've never heard of Jim Crockett at FRB, so maybe BridgeNews called the wrong number. LOL!

This other piece indicates the company was unavailable for comment and the analyst is properly unaware of any material news before release to the public. I guess we'll all just have to stay in suspense. ;-)
