Johnd- I hope you're right, but I don't see why there MUST be a doubling in value of every vc investment made? Where did you get that idea? Many vc investments flop and never get to market or even if they ipo the issue dies before the shares can be sold at cost... So far i am not excited about ANY of the investments they've made. BTW, I'm very experienced with the ipo arena, having been allocated over 80+ issues from WIT, ET, FBR, MSDW, etc since early 1999. I have a sense of what constitutes a hot issue. Nothing I've read about the 5 or 6 companies they've invested in so far meets my basic strong ipo "sniff" test. If these guys cant land an optical or networking or similar deal, I think we will be skunked. I'm considering getting out early at breakeven if the op presents itself. Again Johnd...what criteria are you using to explain your excitement about what these guys have done so far? I'm willing to learn something new...
