I've long since given up on expecting any kind of candor or accountability from any of the mainstream press in either their "objective" account of events or in their continual barrage of both overt and covert liberal editorial commentary. The media are hostile political partisans pure and simple. And I only wish that like Britain, we too had conservatives who owned their own media empires and were equally tireless and shameless in advocating conservative principles of morality and government. Yesterday, I sent Pournelle a copy of our last postings and his only comment in reply was to amend my fragmented quote of Hobbes to include the full text which he listed as follows. "Solitary, poor, nasty, brutish, and short."
