Bob:

As I read your tales, I kept picturing my father-in-law's place: a very small house on about 10 acres. Grandpa decides that grandson (my son -- then about 5) needs to learn how to ride on and drive the tractor, so they take off together. Grandpa is proud of himself and grandson: so proud that as he drives by about ten of us sitting and watching, grandpa looks at us and waves, oblivious to grandson's driving (which up to then had not been too bad) --- as grandpa is looking and waiving, grandson makes a small left turn -- right into the side of the well shack.

Grandson has not ridden or driven tractor since (six years). The new wood on the well shack still looks pretty good though. SB would have been proud. <g>
