<<this idea to fund si memberships in memory of edwarda in no way denigrates either the hunger site or scholarship ideas. >>

Who decides the person to get such memberships? Sure wouldn't want Chris Land to get one under another account.

I love it, Mark! It is indeed something Edwarda would enjoy.

I had a similar experience years ago. I was alone in New York City for the first time - big deal for a girl from Texas. I was having breakfast in a deli in downtown Manhatten. A very handsome man came in and sat a few tables down. He had on a long leather coat that made him look very cosmopolitan. When the waitress took my order, she asked me to repeat my order more than once - Texas accent, I guess. Then she took the man's order. She couldn't understand him either - he had a heavy French accent. Anyway, when I went to pay my check, the owner said my check had been paid by the Frenchman who had just left. I think Edwarda would have enjoyed my story too. <ggg>

I like it. Count me in if it should happen.
