...shorting a stock like RMBS is a very dangerous game....

Paul, why not sell the CALLs. The premiums help to buffer the risk and if you're wrong and it penetrates your strike, buy the stock to convert to a CC.

Use similar logic as for short PUTs.

I believe that if I intend to be a true trader, then it is necessary for me to know how to handle the various market directions. Otherwise, I'm just a bull trend follower and will miss out on a lot of profit opportunities..... just my opinion.
