I have been mugged and my best friend -- a police officer -- was gunned down by a Nazi skinhead punk in Denver in 1997. I don't recall a state where mugging someone gets you the death penalty. Could you please name the states where this is true? On the other side of the coin, 13 men (so far) all on Death Row, all suffering the cruelty of sadistic prison guards and the "justice" system, were released by order of the Governor of Illinois after they were finally able to PROVE they were innocent. One was on Death Row for 18 years, another for 13 years. A few got stays of execution minutes before they were to put to death. They were the lucky ones. They lived to tell the tale. But, wait a second... who cares that they were all innocent (other than that bleeding heart Gov. of Illinois)? Some of the DAs didn't. They wanted those innocent men executed anyway. The Gov. overrode them. Too bad, scum like that should have been executed, right? Oh, BTW... the scum I'm referring to are not the innocent men, but the DAs.
