I disagree, in a society that highly respects life the death penalty would NOT be an option unless it was a PERFECT system.

Many I have talked to who support the death penalty admit it's not perfect and admit innocents may be executed, but in essence they say they don't care. So much for a high respect for individual human life, let alone inalienable rights.
