E! Great post...thanks. Wish they had gone on to mention that having the genes is only a start to understanding the vastly more complex proteins which actually make up the human cellular structure. Genes, consisting of various combinations of only 4 constituents, are actually a piece of cake compared to the (I beleive, about 20) amino acids which make up a solitary protein. That deciphering operation will be something like an order of magniture more complex than the human genome project. As a guess, I'd say we are about 1% or less along the way to understanding the structure of the human cell.
Knowing that, where do we go next? And what are the really, really profitable plays?... I guess it was AFFX and CRA, principally. So what are the next CRA and AFFX ?? I'll give up for now....
